Pikes Peak Nightingale Awards 2017
Nightingale Committee of the Pikes Peak Region
The name of the local region has recently been changed from Colorado Springs Nightingale Committee to the Nightingale Committee of the Pikes Peak Region, to better encompass those nurse eligible in the region (north to Castle Rock, west to include Woodland Park & Cripple Creek, and south to the Pueblo border).
The Mission of the Pikes Peak Region:
1. To recognize nurses in the community who exemplify “Excellence in Nursing” with criteria described in depth here.
2. To raise funds to assist nursing students at both local schools of nursing to remain in school when an unexpected monetary crisis arises. Each year a portion of the funds raised through our Silent Auction and donations, is given to the Emergency Fund at Bethel School of Nursing and Pikes Peak Community College, Nursing Program. The funds are administered by the Deans of each nursing program.
